This little market in the second district is a bit strange to me. But not in a bad way. When the weather is good, it’s
nice to sit outside there.
In the 18th I guess…. We stumbled upon it by accident yesterday. 🙂
Not too far from us, right next to Laaerberg Bad, there is a park that’s as close to heaven as you can get on a sunny spring day.
Wide stretches of flower meadows greet you there, but unlike Prater they are practically empty.
We biked out here and spent some hours on the grass. Definitely a great way to rest a weary mind. 🙂
Vienna doesn’t sleep early on the weekend. 😉
In spring, there is a team of bicycle repair men/women that travel around the city to help people get their bikes ready for the summer. Bless them! This is the team in action in my neighbourhood two days ago. To check their schedule go to http://www.radrettung.at, they drop by every district in the city!
I don’t come here often enough. It’s such a nice part of town, and when the sun is out it’s probably one of the best picnic destinations in central Vienna. Maybe this summer…
Just a view from the cycleway across from the road. Waiting to cross when the light turns green. 🙂
A bit blurry as I only had my phone, but you can still get the atmosphere from it. It’s getting summer-like 🙂
I’ve been here today, and got some cool plants. This market is happening once a year in spring, and it looks like they’ll do it again in September this year but then it’s too late to put things out on the garden… Ok. Now it’s back to work!
Bird house stand
Very pretty tree
Bonsai! Man they’re pretty.
Botanical garden display
And as soon as the weekend is here..!
Spring is so beautiful. I sometimes wish Iived in a rural area, but there are definitely areas around Vienna that are nice too!
They’re shining! And smell like they came from the factory today!
Last night I went for a stroll along the canal with my sweetheart. The weather is turning, so people are coming out of the woodwork, eyes blinking at the bright light. I’m looking forward to warmer temperatures this weekend. 🙂
I love this church close to Westbahnhof, it is absolutely stunning. All I have only ever seen it in passing on the subway or the tram. Some day…
It’s now fully operational. And it has the feel of an international train station.
This time at Fluc, where they decided that they’d leave it up to the clientele to decorate the walls.
