Hmmm. Not much to be seen this morning. But I have hope!
So, this is what it looks like right now. And it’s been like this since Sunday. Well, not that inviting… But I must say it’s been good for working and doing indoor things! I can happily live with it for a couple of days more if I have to 🙂
The old city hall from the other angle. I think this house is super cool 😀
I’m m also falling in love with the smoked beer (Rauchbier). Tomorrow it all ends, and we go home. Boo.
The next stop on the journey is Bamberg. It’s close-ish to Nürnberg, and is a very charming old city. Currently there is a festival on, a Kirtag of sorts.
There are several hills in the city, as well as a river that runs straight through it.
The old city hall is on an island in the middle of the river. Seems the place has a ridiculously rich history, but I’m here for only a few days so I doubt I’ll cover all of it.
This is the home of the famous smoked beer. I can’t quite describe the taste… it literally tastes like smoked beer!
And there are many cool door knockers in Bamberg. It’s my new obsession….
This is a little oasis in the middle of the town, wedged in between the 3rd and the 1st district. I can’t say I’ve spend much time here, even though I used to live fairly close. Yesterday I went to the other side of the park than I normally go to, and was amazed at the life, the views, and the fish in the pond. (Fish! In pond!)
I also FINALLY found this golden statue:I’ve lived in Vienna for 4 years and a bit, and it’s only now that I’ve found this thing!
Looking forward to dinner at tge castle tonight! 🙂
