Cyclists practising their tricks in front of Burgtheater
Cyclists lined up ready to show us their skills.
Yesterday I made the most of the awesome weather and checked out one of the Stadtwanderwege that I so far have neglected.
Starting and ending in Stammersdorf, it has always seemed so far away. But the streets in this part of town are super cute.

There was some uphill walking, but less than the Kahlenberg walk. Wiews were found anyway. 🙂
The walk took me about 2 hours and 50 minutes at a leisurely pace. It’s approximately 10 kilometres.
It felt great to get out of the noisy city for a while. I’m not often out here in the north east, so there were new things to see for me.
And the downhill from the top was not very steep, at least not in many places.
I would definitely recommend this for a getaway on a nice day like yesterday. 🙂
This place. Finally! I’ve been wanting to try it for ages, and I decided to go there for my birthday. It was truly amazing.
This quirky circus slaughterhouse style restaurant is just a hop and a skip away from the opera house, on Opernring 11. They specialise in:
And cheese cake.
Yum! I was in heaven. I also had amazing company, of course. 🙂 The staff (all dressed in leather aprons) were super friendly, and the prices were absolutely tolerable.
They’ve even got a range(!) of veggie burgers, my friend here got the haloumi burger, but they also have corn burgers and black bean burgers.
The only downside: I ate so much that I just can’t move right now…. 😛
I can wholeheartedly recommend this place!
