This is on today and tomorrow – I went there just to torment myself with all the amazingly cool plants that I want to buy but cannot afford. So.. for all those that think plants are boring, just wait for the next post I guess. (Although plants are so not boring!!)
This one caught my eye. It’s a ‘little prince.’ I would definitely have taken one home with me. And this was just at the start of the market… yeah. Maybe not so bad that I’m broke.
Loads of water plants on sale, among other things. Good for people with garden ponds I guess. Not so practical for me in a 57 Sqm. flat.
Loads of little succulents and other sand-dirt flowers.
Surrounded by pink! I looked at the name, I vaguely remember it started with a G and that’s all…. but pretty display!
Various food plants were on offer. There was a whole market section where you could pick and mix kitchen plants, quite affordably. I would of course have gone crazy in the herb department there… so yeah. already after that I would have been struggling to carry things.
One of these venus fly traps should have been MIIIINEEEEE!!! If I could just walk away with ONE plant, it would have been one of these cuties. Aaaaargh! Oh well, it’s never too late. (must finish degree and get good job…. must finish degree and get good job… why am I online right now???)
All the pressure of not spending money was too much for me in the end. I ended up with two of these little super cute succulents. They only cost 1,50 each…
I also have a thing for ferns. I would definitely have got this one.
A large collection of bonsai trees.
One of the many succulent stands at the main entrance of the gardens. This is where I got mine. And learned that they actually do need to be watered now and then… well! Whaddyaknow!
To finish off, I give you the dildo-cactus. I cracked up bigtime at this, and YES, I would have walked home with it!! So to sum up my potential spending, I would have ended up spending about 80 Euro if I could have just got all I wanted to. My boyfriend would have killed me, as he already thinks we have enough plants. Also not sure if he would have got as big a kick out of the dildo-cactus (it’s actually a rainbow cactus, as you can see from the different rings of colour on it, so pretty…). A good day though. If you’re looking to get some more plants, it’s also on tomorrow most of the day. 🙂 At the botanical gardens next to Belvedere.
