Man, another heat wave and I am desperate for cooler temperatures. How do people survive living in the tropics! This week brings promises of temperatures over 35 degrees every day… And we’re going camping on the weekend!! Ugh…. I sure hope we won’t overheat in the tent.
The only sane thing to do is to go swimming.
Just a small shot from Alte Donau, where people go swimming and also rent those paddle boats that you see in the back of the shot. Alte Donau is the part of the river that’s closed off, and the water there tends to be warmer than in the main river. There are also many artificial beaches along the old river bend, most you have to pay to enter, but Arbeiterstrandbad is free. 🙂
Ok, it might be a bit too cold this morning to jump in the pool… but in any case it looks pretty tempting! Perhaps a nice place to visit when the temperatures creep over 30, and you don’t want to do anything but cool down in any way possible.
Today we had to just face the day doing the only sane thing one can do in 38 degrees – submerge in water, dry in the sun, and repeat. We arrived after 1pm, so we only had to pay €3.90 to get in. Turns out, it was totally worth it!
