They keep the Christmas lights on Graben up in January as well because it is good for the businesses in the area. I think that’s totally ok.

Few locals spend time here. I walked up Graben and then Kohlmarkt on my way to the Wiener Tourismuskonferenz. 🙂
It was an interesting night, seeing what the Vienna Tourist Board is up to, and what challenges that face Tourism in Vienna in the years to come. I also really enjoyed the Zeremoniesaal at Hofburg!! This was the old ‘Tronsaal’ or where the Hapsburgs had their thrones. (Not made of iron I’m sure).
This H&M on Graben is possibly one of the most swanky looking ones around. I got a little giggle from the name E. Braun & Co that’s branded on the building… presumably not der Führer’s girlfriend? Well. Even if so, it’s probably not funny. I’ve been in here once or twice… it’s just a normal H&M.
My fellow Viennese blogger Chael has explained the history of the building on the blog Viennarightnow. Click here to see the post!
